Hi everyone!  Picture time.....we have several parents taking pictures this year which is wonderful! 

Ms Simons uses Smug mug to show her pictures.  Her website address is  www.vivspics.com.  Her pictures for the games are shown by date.  Ms Simons's latest pictures are from the Wilton scrimmage.

Of course I am still using Snapfish.  I will send an invite to each email address I have.  You will then have to set up a 'free' account for those who do not have one.  You will then be able to access this year's season's group room.  Mr. Zimmerman will be loading this past weekend's scrimmage at Mahoney and I will be loading my pictures from the Wilton scrimmage.

We also try to post some of these pictures on the website...keep you posted.

Q&A on Parking Space Raffle & Auction

At least six people have asked the following:

Question:  Can I just buy a parking space in the Gridiron Parking Lot up front for $150?
 
Answer:  Not so fast my friends.  This is fundraising for Weston Trojan Football!!!   You can place an order with Kay (TheSpencer5@aol.com < > ) for an opening bid at $150 for the Auction on 9/5 after the Raffle winners are announced and we know how many spaces are left available for auctioning off to the highest bidder.  For example, if we raffle off 5 spaces (meaning we sold 40 raffle tickets), then we'd only have 15 left for the Auction-- those 15 spaces will have to go to the highest bidders.  Who knows?  Maybe the demand will be so great that the last spot at auction will go for $200?!  (Email your opening bids to TheSpencer5 if you want to do it in advance of the live auction 9/5.)
 
BUT THINK OF THE OPPORTUNITY to win your choice of Parking Spaces for only $20 with the Raffle!!
   -  Wouldn't you like to win a spot for only $20?  Buy a raffle ticket!
    -  Is $20  worth possibly saving $130 if the successful bid price is ultimately $150?  Buy opportunity!
    -   What if demand pushes the Auction bid price for the last available spot to $200?  A $20 winning Raffle ticket  would save $180!   
     -  If you buy a Raffle ticket and don't win the Raffle, but still buy the space at Auction by competitive bid, was $20 for the raffle ticket that benefited Weston Trojan Football such a loss?   Or a good cause?
    -  WHAT IF-- against all odds-- we sell 160 Raffle tickets-- have 20 raffle winners claiming all available parking spaces-- raise $3200 for Weston Trojan Football (if everyone pays $20/ticket)...all from the Raffle?????   WOW!  What a genius scheme!!!   Dare to Dream.......

Get one of the Premiere Parking Spaces in the Gridiron Parking Lot for all Weston Trojan Football home games!  Be right there and ready to Tail Gate!  Be proud of your customized parking sign-- complete with your favorite player's name and jersey number!  And if heaven forbid-- the weather beats you out of the bleachers-- watch the game from the parking lot near the end zone!   Front row parking for the True Trojan!
            Great Odds!  Raffling off 1 space for every 8 tickets sold!  WOW!
      After the raffle, available spaces will be auctioned off to highest bidder.

ALL PLAYERS MUST BRING THEIR FULL EQUIPMENT HOME TONIGHT! (Please Wash)

The school will not be open this weekend. 


Tomorrow:

Sophs, Juniors, and Seniors report to school tomorrow for 7:20 am in full gear.  Freshmen are off until Monday morning.  The scrimmage will be at Falcon Field in Meriden (It is located at a Middle School - same field as last year).  The first play will be run at 9 am.  It is a 4 team jamboree.  It should conclude by 11am.  All players who drive to school can store their keys in our outdoor storage bin until our return.  For players who need to be taped, Maloney will provide an athletic trainer.

Sunday:

Picnic at the McGlone's 2-5pm.


Monday Morning

7:45 - 10:15am  (dressed in helmets and shoulder pads - school will not be open)

Parents and players,

Hi - The games for Varsity and Froshmore teams have been added to the Calendar tab under each team.

Also added to the Document section is a schedule for both teams for the season.  Please remember the document is correct through today.  The times and dates are subject to change.

Today:

Varsity meeting 3:30 in Passarelli's room. - All Seniors, Juniors and Sophmores (even the one's who went to Wilton yesterday) must attend.

Freshman and Upper Classmen practice at 4:30 in HELMETS AND SHOULDER PADS AND WORKOUT GEAR.

A Heads Up:

There is a STRONG possibility our opening game with New Fairfield will get moved up a day.  When this is confirmed, I will update you on our schedule as we will have to make some adjustments.


Also, we are expecting bad weather tomorrow.  It is important all players report to school with proper gear including SNEAKERS in case we have to get our work done inside.

Parents, players, managers and coaches,

Hi - Now that we are hopefully done workout wear we will move on to the fun stuff - WESTON SPIRIT WEAR!  The clothes that we all wear to show our team spirit at our games and around town....

Heidi handled out the order forms at the parent meeting on Monday, August 23rd.  If you are unable find your form we have loaded both forms into the 'Document' section of the website.  They are listed under the folder "2010 Weston Spirit Wear".  All forms and money are due this Sunday, September 5th.  You can bring them to the Weston Football Kick Off BBQ this Sunday.

I just received a message from our Athletic Director

1)  Football team needs to meet in the football locker room by 3:15.

2)  ALL PLAYERS MUST BRING A PEN/PENCIL AND SOMETHING HARD TO WRITE ON (LIKE A CLIPBOARD OR A BOOK)

Today:

No lift.  Practice is over at 10:30am


All players should try their full equipment on today.  If they are missing anything, or need something adjusted they should report to school by 7am to get it fixed.  At 7:30am the Truck MUST be packed.  Every player should have a quality mouth piece.


Please have a good breakfast before reporting to school tomorrow.

Please follow the packing list.  Remember, our practice attire for Saturday and Sunday will be full pads.
